If you are ever in San Francisco and you are traveling with children under the age of 15, do yourself and your family a favor and check out the Exploratorium. My boys and I found the Exploratorium by complete accident and I am definitely glad we did. A place built around Science, Learning and all out fun, the Exploratorium provides kids and parents alike the opportunity to learn all about the things that make science fun, weird and integral to our lives today. Not only will your kids be able to dissect a cow's eye, they will also experience everything the Exploratorium has to offer in a hands on, walking through, sitting on and riding fashion.

When I first moved to the East Bay back in November of 2006 my boys and I heard Pier 39 was the place to go for first time San Fran visitors. Dad was thinking more along the lines of an Anchor Steam Brewery tour, but my boys wanted to hit the famous chocolate shops and see the sea lions so I reluctantly agreed to push my way through crowds of tourists in order to abide by my boys wishes.
