My family and I loved this recipe!!  The chicken was spectacular!  What a great dish and so simple to make.  Thank you!
rDad's Crockpot Chicken Marsala

This is a great recipe.  My boys and I devour these chicken breasts.  The prep time for this recipe is a little longer than my normal recipes and the cook time is at least 6 hours, but the end result is a great dinner at home.  I can honestly say when this dish hits the table we all eat way too much and there isn't much talking going on.

What'cha need:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup Marsala wine
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (my boys and I are not fond of mushrooms so this small item is usually left out in my house)

What to do:

  1. Mix most of the flour with the salt and pepper and cover the chicken breast in this mixture.
  2. In a skillet brown the chicken breast on both sides.
  3. Place in the Crockpot.
  4. Add the wine and mushrooms to the skillet and let heat for about 10 minutes, while tossing and stirring.
  5. Sprinkle the left over flour onto the chicken breast and pour the heated wine sauce over the chicken.
  6. Allow to cook on low for 6 hours.

I usually serve this dish with mash potatos or some linguini in olive oil, butter, and garlic.

Good luck and good eating!!
